Traveller tips for visiting Save Farm Nursery Gholwad

Here are some useful tips based on my experience of visiting Save Farm, Gholwad. The main tip is that there are fixed meal timings & if you are late, you will not enjoy the food cold, especially the thalipeeth which should be eaten piping hot.

Useful tips
  • Wear sports shoes for the farm tour. The adventure sportsactivities are also at the end of this tour and fancy heels are out of question for these activities.
  • Wear hats for proper shade and not just caps. You will be getting in and out of the buggy which takes you around and will be spending a great deal of time out standing here and there while various aspects of the farm are explained to you.
  • When you arrive, at that time itself find out when the farm tour will be organized for you. We were informed only at breakfast time on our second morning. This was annoying as we then had to hustle quickly to join the other family in the motorized buggy which would take us on the tour. In 10 minutes we had to rush back to our rooms, grab hats and cameras and get on the buggy. Now in our group we he senior citizens who had to take some prescribed medicines after breakfast and, naturally, would want to use the loo before setting out. It was an utter rush for them & a bit stressful.
  • Find out if the adventure sports will immediately take place at the end of the farm tour. We were not informed of this and had worn ordinary slippers instead of the sports shoes that we had taken along for the trip. While flat footwear as such is not a problem, sports shoes provides easier grip while walking on the nets and ropes set up for the adventure activities.
  • Take along your swimming costumes. For those who have inhibitions, you are allowed to wear clean clothes into the pool. However, note that there is no attendant and you enter the pool at our own risk. Children should not be allowed in the pool without an adult.
