The most fabulous, unbelievable moments of our trip to SaveFarm nursery were the adventure sport activities. You may have seen films in
which army commandos are trained to manoeuvre rope bridges and move from one
place to another on zip lines. Every wondered whether you could do it? Well
then, go to Save Farm to test your skills. Believe me, it will set your
adrenaline pumping and literally awaken muscles in your body that you never
knew existed, thanks to spending most of your hours slouched in chairs and on
sofas!!
The zip lining sport is across the man-made lake which the
farm owner has created after years of toil and sweat. You get into a harness
that is firmly belted in place by a staff member & then climb on to a
platform set in a tree, accessed by a net rope way.
A very sturdy hooked belt connects your harness to the zip line above your head. There is a staff member standing on the platform to explain how to hold onto the belt and also how to bend your legs at the knee just before you land at the other end. At that end too, a staff member stands to grab your belt and unhook it from your harness. Then he just gives a light pat on your back and…..zip……you’re across the zip line in no time at all.
You will like it so much that you will want to do it all over again. In fact, we LOVED it and at our request arranged for a session of zip lining the next evening too. So totally we zipped across 4 times!!
Do note the precautions to take as per the notice board:

After the zip lining activity, we were taken to a rope
course. It wasn’t tough, but is a bit strenuous. However, it is safe as it is
across nets so if you lose your balance you will simply fall in the net itself.
It is only the last stretch that is a bit dicey, as balance is important here.
If you lose your balance, you can fall down, but not to worry. This part is at
a low level and there is soft sand below. There is also a staff member waiting
with outstretched hands to hold you quickly and ensure you don’t exactly land
fully splat on your back.
So as not to spoil the fun for you, I have not put photos of the entire rope course. However, as you can see from the left side image above, age no bar for enthusiastic participation!
Like for the zip lining activity, there is a notice board for precautions for the rope course too:
You can also play badminton or a game of cricket in
the area in front of the office. We quite enjoyed a game of badminton in the soft grass of the garden, in the midst of lovely flowers. There are no charges for using the rackets and
cricket equipment. These are kept in the office. So as not to spoil the fun for you, I have not put photos of the entire rope course. However, as you can see from the left side image above, age no bar for enthusiastic participation!

Nor, surprisingly, were there any charges for hiring the cycles. I was unable to cycle as just could not manage it, despite having done plenty of cycling in my childhood!
All in all, as I mentioned, the adventure activities were the highlights of our trip to Save Farm - the absolute "wow" factor!
