Based on our 3 nights/4 days stay at Annapoorna Farm, Karjat, Maharashtra, here are some useful tips.
1. If you are travelling by train, you could request the owners to pick you up from Karjat railway station. They will either try to pick you up themselves or arrange for pick-up by auto.
2. Hot water is available between 8a.m. and 10a.m., but if you, like me, prefer really hot water to bathe, wait till about 9a.m. at least.
3. TT, cricket and badminton equipment is available, but you could take along cards, board games and a Frisbee. You can sit on the large expanse of grass to play board games and enjoy the clean outdoor air rather than sitting in the room.
4. Do ask for limbu sherbet - it is very good - rather than bothering about the lack of soft drinks and fizzy beverages. Sol kadi is also very refreshing to have post-lunch or dinner.
5. There is no call button/intercom system in the rooms. So if you need assistance for anything, you have to go all the way to the office area to get hold of the staff.
6. The staff is limited to only 2 for room service and 3 ladies for the kitchen work. So please be understanding and do not expect instant help.
7. Ask about boating facilities for the evening.
